If you haven't started taking your Scheme pension, there will come a date when you're ready to get the process started. From October 2025, that process has become easier than ever before, with the launch of Retire Online.
Capita's new service allows members to generate retirement quotations at the touch of a button. Once you've logged into your secure account, you'll be able to view and compare your retirement options, access helpful guidance, and complete your application online.
Keeping members and their money safe
When you tell us you’re ready to start taking your pension, we run a series of checks to keep you and your money secure. Since July 2025, we've been running a new check as part of this process.
Before we make your first pension payment, we’ll make sure that the name on your bank account matches the name you've given us. This helps us make sure we’re paying your money into the right account before anything is transferred.
We don't expect this to cause any delays to your payment, unless of course we discover the names don't match. If that's the case, we'll reach out to you straight away to get everything sorted out so we can start paying your pension.
